about me

BEHIND THE LENS

When it comes to photographing people, I believe beauty is best captured in authentic and loving moments. I like to give little suggestions to create raw actions and emotions. Being put on the spot and having your portrait taken can be an uncomfortable experience for some people. I like to look at it like learning to ride a bike, I’ll be right behind you holding you steady, guiding you through the experience, until you look over your shoulder and realize I’m no longer holding on and you’re doing it all on your own, falling into natural moments with your loved ones!

I grew up in Grand Forks & Christina Lake in Boundary Country, the region between the Okanagan and the Kootenays in British Columbia, Canada. I have been photographing weddings and families for over 13 years in Boundary Country and the Kootenays. With over 50 weddings under my belt and countless family sessions, I've built up a lot of techniques and experience in the industry. July 2019 my partner and I moved to Lake Country, a small town packed full of, you guessed it, lakes! Located near Kelowna, BC.

Creativity is my therapy! Whether it’s making short films, info-graphics, music, crocheted stuffed animals and clothes, or taking portraits, I feel best when I'm creating something. The urge to create pushed me towards a diploma in Digital Arts and New Media from Selkirk College in Nelson, BC in 2017. I strive to keep current with photography concepts and techniques by prioritizing learning in my daily life.

I cover a large area of the Okanagan; Osoyoos, Oliver, Penticton, Naramata, Summerland, Peachland, Kelowna, Lake Country, Vernon, Armstrong, Salmon Arm & Kamloops. I will also travel to Grand Forks, Castlegar, Trail, and Nelson for weddings. Not in the Kootenay or Okanagan area? I'm open to any destination, don't hesitate to ask!
